Why is Abhimanyu Easwaran not yet in India's Test Team?

 It has always confused me about why is there no one asking BCCI to include Abhimanyu Easwaran in the India test team, the guy has been playing for India since a long time. He has lead India A several times. Why is there no one asking about his inclusion in the team.

He has wonderful stats at domestic level, he is a experienced leader, and he is mostly in form. What else does a player need to be in India team.

In the recent Irani Cup also he was made the Vice-Captain and Ruturaj Gaikwad was made the captain of ROI. In domestic cricket Abhimanyu is simply more deserving and has more experience and better stats as captain then Ruturaj, however BCCI’s one main factor is backing players who are trending.

We can ask for inclusion of a one match wonder player in the team, but no one wants Abhimanyu to be in the team.

Hopefully he can debut with BGT this year in absence of Rohit Sharma.
